Dear Bug Team!
today i made an "hg pull -u ; make beta ; sudo make install",
restarted xemacs and found that part of the modeline was displayed
with the wrong background
in particular, i set the modeline face using X attributes

XEmacs.modeline*attributeBackground: firebrick4
XEmacs.modeline.attributeFont: corbel:size=12
--
and this is the customzation buffer for Modeline Buffer Id

as you see, modeline-buffer-if inherits its attributes from modeline,
but however the background that it is displayed is the default face
background (in effect, the default's background pixmap is used)
all other modeline-* faces are displayed correctly
